Serving Homeless, Hungry and Vulnerable Neighbors in the Chattanooga Area
Homelessness. Too many Chattanoogans know exactly what it means, which is why seven local churches formed the Community Kitchen nearly forty years ago. Since that time, we’ve been the area leader in combating homelessness by walking with our friends along their journey to self-sufficiency.
Last year alone, we served over 175,000 meals, gave away more than $300,000 worth of clothing and helped hundreds of individuals and families find and maintain housing. Even more, our shelters offered a safe place to sleep for more than 12,000 bed nights.
This year, the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors have dramatically changed. And our services have adapted. We haven’t missed a meal. Our bathrooms and showers are open. Our shelters are operating. And our case managers are still helping people find housing.
Being a local organization in the truest sense, we depend on the donations of people like you to accomplish our mission of meeting the most basic needs of hungry, homeless, and vulnerable people in our community while offering a clear path to self-sufficiency. Please consider partnering with us through the Combined Federal Campaign by designating your gifts to CFC# 32577.
